What types of complaints can I file?

You can file complaints related to: police misconduct and illegal arrest, labour rights and wage theft, domestic violence and women's rights, land and property rights violations, right to information (RTI) denial, child rights and POCSO violations, caste discrimination and SC-ST atrocities, consumer rights, healthcare rights, environmental rights, and any other constitutional rights violation in India.

Can I file a complaint anonymously?

Yes. You can choose to file your complaint anonymously. Your personal details will not be disclosed to any third party. Anonymous complaints are reviewed based on the nature and severity of the rights violation described.

How long does it take to get a response?

You will receive an initial response within 24 working hours. Case resolution timelines vary depending on the nature of the matter. Urgent cases involving imminent threat to life or liberty are prioritised immediately.

What happens after I file a complaint?

Your complaint is reviewed and assigned to the appropriate specialist. You receive a unique reference number (e.g. RCF-XXXXXXXX) to track your case. Our team then contacts you to assess the matter and determine the best course of action — be it legal intervention, RTI filing, NHRC complaint, or direct mediation.

Can I file a complaint against a police officer?

Yes. Police misconduct, illegal arrest, illegal detention, custodial abuse, refusal to register FIR, and extortion are among our most commonly handled cases. We have empanelled advocates and retired officers who specialise in these matters.

Can I file a complaint from any state in India?

Yes. We are active in all 28 states and 8 Union Territories of India. Our network includes members and partners across every major district.
